How do you feed the aspiring poets, novelists, and scribblers of southeastern New England? By supporting Frequency Writers, a nonprofit organization dedicated to offering affordable, high-quality writing creative writing workshops and to sponsoring readings, talks, and other free events that give local writers a platform to share their work and to form relationships to support each other’s development.
Frequency is holding its first Literary Festival on:
Sunday, October 20, 2013, 5 – 7 PM
AS220, 95 Empire Street, Providence, RI
The event will feature lots of tasty free food, cash bar, a silent auction of original work by local artists, a book raffle, short performances, Real Live Writers tucked into every corner of the room, ready to write for you on demand, and a few surprises.
Come eat, drink, be entertained, and win some great books or arts-related loot. Enjoy the company of other local writers, book lovers, and arts supporters, and support a burgeoning literary community in the process.
Tickets for the event are available at the door and priced on a sliding scale:
$50 for Patrons of the Arts
$10 for Bibliophiles
$2 for Starving Writers/friends
All proceeds go to support Frequency Writers.
