Born into a family of political exiles and raised between Las Vegas and Cincinnati, Valerie Hsiung is a poet, playwright, screenwriter and musician. Her work has appeared recently or is forthcoming in American Letters & Commentary,Apiary, Denver Quarterly, DIAGRAM, Juked, Mad Hatters’ Review, Moonshot, New Delta Review, PEN Poetry Series, Spittoon, VOLT and elsewhere. Two of her books–incantation inarticulate and under your face–came out with O Balthazar Press in October 2013.
