Celebrate participatory poetry with handmade chapbooks, brief readings, and snacks!
Poems by Mary-Kim Arnold, Lindsday Beebe, Indigo Bethea, Adam Golaski, Cherry Pickman and Amish Trivedi
Chapbooks designed and made by Maria Anderson, Janaya Kizzie, Kat Murphy and Kate Schapira
These poems were made at the RISD Museum’s Design the Night: Open House event on September 19th, 2013, in one of three ways:
Written at a museumgoer’s request by one of five invited poets stationed at a typewriter.
Written by a museumgoer at a typewriter when there was no other poet stationed there.
Written by Indigo Bethea, Cherry Pickman, Mary-Kim Arnold or Kate Schapira as revisions of collage poems, made of lines written on Post-It notes and hung on the wall by museumgoers.
Bring the flyer you received at the September event, if you were there, in exchange for a chapbook!
