The Brown Bookstore presents poets Catherine Imbriglio and Xue Di, who will read from their new books at the bookstore on Wednesday, 11 December at 4 pm.

Catherine Imbriglio’s second book of poetry is just out from Colorado State University — it was selected winner of the 2013 Colorado Review book prize by poet/critic Stephen Burt. Her first book is from Burning Deck. She teaches in the Nonfiction Program in Brown’s English department.

Xue’s Di’s latest book is from Green Integer. His work has also been published by paradigm press and by Burning Deck. Xue Di came to the United States in 1989 — he fled China having been a participant in the Democracy Movement in China, and was in Tiananmen Square at the time of the confrontation with government forces. He was originally in residence at Brown through the Freedom to Write Program, a forerunner to the current International Writers Project.
