“Pema Chodron is world-renowned for her ability to convey the essence of the most profound Buddhist teachings with ease, directness, and humor to audiences of every description. Join us at the Shambhala Meditation Center of Providence in a retreat environment with live streaming of Pema as she teaches us how our habits keep us spinning, and how we have the ability to stop this process at any moment by connecting with the vast, open space that is inherent in our mind. The 2-day program will include 3 live video-stream talks by Pema Chodron, guided meditation, group discussion, and refreshments.

We human beings are experts at creating problems for ourselves. Unless we have deep wisdom to guide us, we make the same mistakes over and over again, perpetuating our confusion. Because our unconscious habits take us around in circles, this endless routine is known as the “wheel of suffering.” The Buddha thoroughly examined this universal state of affairs and broke down the chain-like process of delusion into twelve components, known as the Twelve Links of Interdependent Origination. Studying these simple, powerful teachings can give us the clarity and insight we need to step off the wheel and into a new life of freedom, joy, and increased love for others.”

The live retreat, being held in Vermont, is an Intimate Fundraiser Retreat for the Sangdo Palri Temple in CO. http://www.mangalashribhuti.org/pema
