As part of Providence’s week-long Fringe Festival, we’ll be organizing an earth-shattering, audience-collaborative performance called en·sem·ble. Come by the AS220 Black Box on Wednesday, July 22nd from 7:30 – 8:15 pm to watch Frequency Writers incorporate burlesque dance, spoken word, musical instruments, and your words into a cohesive artistic statement!

Audience members will contribute words related to the city, which will inspire our 9 performers to improvise multi-media pieces as quartets and trios. The performers include two cellists, a burlesque performer, a drummer, and keyboardist/sound artist, and three spoken word artists.

The Providence Fringe Festival allows local performers to produce their own show and push the boundaries of their usual artistic constraints. Hosted by The Wilbury Theatre Group and involving much of the city’s artistic community, FRINGEPVD is a once-a-year opportunity to engage with the Providence arts scene, support local artists, and see highly experimental work.
