Esteemed activist and spoken word poet Jared Paul will perform at a benefit show for the Contemporary Theater Company (CTC) on Saturday, October 3 at 7 p.m. at the CTC theater at 327 Main St. in Wakefield, RI.

Jared Paul wowed the standing room only audience at CTC last spring as a featured poet for the “Poets Speaking Up” series.  CTC Artistic Director Chris Simpson, recognized that Jared would make a dynamic headliner for the CTC, and invited him back for this season.  Jared agreed to do this performance as a fundraiser for the theater.

Improv duo, “Bait and Switch” opens the show, the Matt Fraza Band closes out the first act, and Jared does what he does for the entire second half.

$15 is the suggested donation for the fundraiser, but it’s Pay-What-You-Can at the door, and any size donation will be gratefully appreciated.  The monies will be used to sustain the theater’s activities and expansion projects.
