This Saturday, October 24th, 6pm, at Ada Books, the Publicly Complex Reading Series is back again with Desiree Bailey, Emily Dix Thomas, and Frequency’s own Sarah Tourjee.

Desiree Bailey hails from Trinidad & Tobago and Queens, NY. She has received fellowships from Princeton in Africa, The Norman Mailer Center and Callaloo Creative Writing Workshop and is a recipient of the Poets & Writers 2013 Amy Award. She got her MFA in Fiction at Brown University and is the fiction editor at Kinfolks Quarterly. Her work has appeared in many places, includingBest American Poetry 2015.

Sarah Tourjee and Emily Dix Thomas will perform from their poetry and cello collaboration, Seaspace Landscape. Sarah is a co-director and teacher at Frequency, and a writer of odd things. Emily is a cellist, composer, and teacher. Seaspace Landscape is an immersive exploration/explosion of the ocean and space.
