Victor Wildman announces his next READING FOR WRITING course:

STORY TELLING – a close group reading of Faulkner’s Absalom, Absalom! and Thomas Bernhard’s The Lime Works.

The class will be looking very closely at two very different books each of which deals with the question of how to tell a story, what’s a story? what is truth?.the process of telling . . .

The class will read these books together over six weeks (spending the first 4 weeks on the Faulkner and the last 2 weeks on the Bernhard) during which you will be keeping a reading journal in which you will be writing every day, and what you learn and write here will then be new material for your writing.

Here are the details:

The class will meet on Mondays from 6:30 to 9:00 pm from February 22nd through March 28th at the Community Church of Providence.

The cost is $250 payable via check on the first day of class.

To join, contact Victor ASAP at vhwildman@gmail.com and buy or borrow copies of William Faulkner’s Absalom, Absalom! and Thomas Bernhard’s The Limeworks.
